Dr. Courtney has a special interest in educating her patients on health and well being. This interest led her to focus much of her chiropractic skills on treating individuals with compassionate patient centered care. Dr. Courtney is certified in SMART Tools soft tissue therapy, has an in depth background on kinesiology and athletic taping, and works well with patients to educate them on the importance of exercising in a smart and constructive way.
Dr. Courtney has been serving the Paynesville community for 7 years. She is dedicated to patient care and has a passion to help people find their health. Dr. Courtney studied Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Minnesota, Duluth to build a strong background in the dynamics of how the human body works at a cellular level. With that knowledge she furthered her education in natural health care at Northwestern Health Sciences University to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and Certified Acupuncturist. She has also found interest in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and maximizing your health through advanced natural medicine. Dr. Courtney's favorite thing about VitaLife is the doctor-patient atmosphere and that it feels like family.
She loves spending time educating her patients on the importance of building healthy habits that extend into lasting lifestyle changes as well as how diet and nutrition plays a critical role in finding your health. She is well versed in proper supplementation and is currently pursuing further education to become a functional nutrition expert.
In her free time, she loves nothing more than to spend time with her husband, Peter, and their 4 children: Huxley (6), Lenix (4), Mavrix (2) and Brexlynn (6 Months). They enjoy being outside and live on a small hobby farm where they raise cows and chickens as well as care for a large garden as a part of their farm to table lifestyle.
